Guide
Approach and anchoring
Enter on a rising tide with the Ile de Batz channel charts on hand, since the bay dries extensively and is sown with rocks. Good holding on mud. Protection from W through N to NE and again in SW, exposed to E through SE winds which build a chop across the bay.
Practical
Water available ashore. The marina of Roscoff-Bloscon lies 2 nm N for fuel, electricity and full chandlery. The Moll anchorage is 3.8 nm NW as an alternative.
Ashore
Saint-Pol-de-Leon lies inland from the beach. The Kreisker chapel and its 78 m granite spire, the former cathedral of Saint-Paul-Aurelien, and the shops of the town centre are within 1 km on foot. The GR 34 coastal path passes behind the beach.
