Approach and anchoring
Approach from seaward on a clear heading to avoid the rocky patches. Set the anchor on a sandy clearing between rocks and dive the chain if needed. Sheltered from SW, W and NW winds by the coastal relief; exposed to the E swell and to the libeccio gusts that cross the island.
Practical
No services at the anchorage. Port de plaisance de Solenzara 1 NM to the N for fuel, water and provisions. Marina di Fiori 14.7 NM to the S towards Porto-Vecchio.
Ashore
The Solenzara river mouth and village are 1 NM north, with restaurants and shops along the main street. The D268 road up the Bavella valley climbs to the Col de Bavella at 1218 m, starting point for several marked GR20 variants.
