Approach and anchoring
Approach from the east, the bay is easy to identify between two rocky headlands. Sand bottom at 3 to 8 m. Sheltered from S, SW, W and NW. Open to E and NE, swell rolls in with the Libeccio rebound or onshore breeze.
Practical
Mooring forain on sand, good holding. No marina facilities. Solenzara harbour 5 NM N has diesel, water and a full service marina. Small beach shops and restaurants in summer.
Ashore
Favone beach runs along the anchorage, with two or three beach restaurants open from June to September. The hamlet of Favone 300 m inland has a grocery and bakery in season. The Bavella needles hiking area is 30 km inland by road for a day trip.
