Approach and anchoring
Open approach from the east with no offshore dangers. Holding on sand in 4 to 8 metres. Shelter from NW through SW, open to the eastern sector where the libeccio pushes swell in. Solenzara 6.6 NM to the north is the nearest all-weather refuge.
Practical
Forain anchorage with no services. Beach restaurants open in summer behind the dune. Fuel berth, water and visitor berths at Solenzara marina.
Ashore
Sand and pebble beach of about 800 metres backed by maquis. The Tarco river mouth forms a small lagoon used by wading birds. Village of Conca 6 km inland is the southern terminus of the GR 20 long-distance path across Corsica.
