Approach and anchoring
Enter the Rade de Brest through the Goulet, then head north-east towards Moulin Blanc. Mud bottom with good holding in 5 to 10 metres. The roadstead is enclosed on all sides, giving all-round shelter from wind, though chop can build in westerlies with the fetch across the rade.
Practical
Port du Moulin Blanc marina 2.1 nm to the west offers over 1400 berths with fuel, water, electricity, haul-out and chandleries. Visitor berths available year-round.
Ashore
Océanopolis aquarium on the marina waterfront, one of the largest marine science centres in Europe. Tram line A connects Moulin Blanc to Brest city centre in about 20 minutes.
