Approach and anchoring

Access from the rade de Brest through the buoyed entrance of Moulin Blanc marina. No fuel berth or yacht services at the kayak base itself, use the adjacent Marina du Moulin Blanc for cruising yachts. Protected behind the breakwater of the marina.

Practical

Dedicated space for kayaks, SUPs and outrigger canoes, next to the boat ramp and chandlers of Moulin Blanc. Kayak sessions Wednesday and Saturday afternoons. Health and sport outings on Sunday mornings in outrigger or dragon boat, and Thursday afternoons in kayak. Cruising yachts berth at the main Moulin Blanc marina, Brest Marina du Château is 2.3 NM to the W.

Ashore

Plage du Moulin Blanc, sandy beach, 300 m. Océanopolis aquarium, 400 m, three pavilions on the marine ecosystems. Tram line A to Brest city centre, stop at Porte de Plouzané, roughly 2 km from the port. GR34 coastal path passes through Moulin Blanc along the rade.
