Guide
Approach and anchoring
Enter the Golfe by the main pass between Port-Navalo and Locmariaquer, then head NE towards Larmor-Baden. The channel off Île Longue carries strong tidal streams reaching 4 knots on springs, strongest on the ebb. Stay clear of oyster beds marked by withies along the island's southern shore.
Practical
Anchor on sand north of the island in 3 to 6 m. Port Lagaden and Larmor-Baden both lie 0.7 NM NE for water, a slipway and shops. Dinghy ashore at Larmor-Baden pontoon.
Ashore
Île Longue is private and landing is not permitted. From Larmor-Baden take the coastal footpath towards Pen Lannic, 2 km of marked shoreline walking. Embarkation point for the Île aux Moines passenger ferry, 10 minutes' crossing from Port Blanc 1 NM north.
