Approach and anchoring
Approached from the open sea off the Gulf of Sagone. Rock seabed, holding variable, prefer a sandy patch and dive the anchor. Exposed to the libeccio from south-west, untenable in that wind.
Practical
Daytime anchorage only. No services. Nearest port at Cargèse 1.6 nautical miles south-east with fuel, water and visitor berths. Port de Sagone 5.6 nautical miles south-east.
Ashore
Cargèse village sits on a cliff above two churches, one Latin-rite and one Greek-rite, built in the 19th century for the descendants of Greek refugees who settled here in 1676.
