Sand holding. Shelter from NW, N and NE; open to the W, SW, S and SE swell. Used to wait for enough water to enter the drying harbour of Jard-sur-Mer, 0.2 NM to the W.
Practical
No services at the anchorage. Jard-sur-Mer harbour dries at low water and has berths, water and fuel inside. Port Bourgenay lies 4.7 NM NW for an all-tide deep-water alternative.
Ashore
Jard-sur-Mer village centre at 400 m from the harbour, with shops, bakery and summer market. Sentier du littoral to Pointe du Payré to the E, entering the Natura 2000 site of the Payré estuary.
