Approach and anchoring
The bay holds 102 moorings in the Two Harbors system, with anchoring room for five to ten boats. On arrival, call Harbor Patrol on VHF 09 for a mooring assignment. Moorings are protected from W through S to SE; the bay is open to the north.
Ashore
A strip of natural sand beach runs along the head of the bay and can be reached by tender. The Corsair Yacht Club and a Boy Scout camp ashore are private and not open to the public.
History
The Boy Scout camp at Emerald Bay was founded in 1925. It operated for about fifteen years until the US Navy requisitioned the site for underwater demolition training during the Second World War.
