Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from seaward clear of the Roches de Saint-Quay to the north. Depths of 4 to 8 metres at low water, chart datum. Swell from the Bay of Saint-Brieuc makes it uncomfortable in any westerly breeze.
Practical
No moorings or services. Use as a daytime stop only. Binic harbour lies 0.8 nm south, with a lock-gated basin accessible around high water. Saint-Quay-Portrieux marina 1.9 nm north is accessible at all tides and has full services.
Ashore
The GR34 coastal path runs along the cliffs between Binic and Saint-Quay. Old customs-officers watchtower, the Corps de garde that gives the place its name, stands on the headland above the anchorage.
