Approach and anchoring
Approach from the Choptank River into Cambridge Creek. Approach depth is about 9.5ft and dockside depth about 8.0ft, with a tidal range near 1.5ft. The basin takes vessels up to 200ft, so larger yachts can be accommodated.
Practical
Annual and transient berths, with petrol, diesel and ice on the fuel berth, plus laundry and bath houses. Berths bookable through Dockwa. The downtown waterfront, shops and restaurants are on the doorstep.
Ashore
High Street, lined with 18th and 19th century houses, runs from the basin to the Long Wharf marker at the river. The Harriet Tubman Museum and Educational Center is in the downtown district, a few minutes on foot. Tubman was born in the surrounding Dorchester County.
