Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south between the Îles des Moines and the mainland. Keep a safe offing from the reefs and shoals that dot the Bouches de Bonifacio. Sheltered from NW through E winds. Exposed to S and SW swell and to the libeccio. VHF 9 for Pianottoli harbour.
Practical
No services at the anchorage itself. Pianottoli-Caldarello marina lies 0.5 NM NE with water, fuel and 200 berths. Bonifacio commercial marina is 6.5 NM SE for a full resupply.
Ashore
Village of Pianottoli-Caldarello 1 km inland with a small grocery and bakery. Plage de Chevanu, white sand and granite blocks, accessible by tender 1.5 NM to the SW. Sentier du littoral runs east towards Figari bay.
