Approach and anchoring
Sand and rock bottom, hold on sand patches. Sheltered from W through NE, exposed to the S and SE. Strong mistral gusts possible through the valley. Niolon 0.6 NM NE, Calanque de Petit Méjean 1.3 NM W.
Practical
No services in the calanque. Small hamlet of Niolon next door with a restaurant and a diving centre.
Ashore
Côte Bleue marine park extends along this coast with no-take zones marked by yellow buoys. Coastal path GR51 runs above the calanques, linking Niolon to Méjean in about 45 minutes walk. Niolon train station on the Marseille to Miramas line for day trips into Marseille.
