County-run public marina and boat ramp at Cutler Bay, south of Miami, Florida, opening onto Biscayne Bay.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Sits about 4.5 miles west of Intracoastal Waterway markers 5 and 6, near 25 31.5 N 80 17.9 W. The approach channel carries roughly 5 feet, with similar depth dockside, so deeper-draught boats should mind the tide. A jetty runs about 1.5 miles into the bay.
Practical
Run by Miami-Dade Parks, the largest public marina in the Miami area. A large multi-lane launch ramp is open 24 hours, with over 300 wet berths for boats up to 55 feet, dry storage, a fuel berth, a bait and tackle shop and a boatyard. The Ocean Grill restaurant is on site.
Ashore
The marina is the closest mainland launch to Biscayne National Park, which protects the bay's mangrove coast and reefs. The park grounds include picnic pavilions, jogging trails and bike paths.
