Anchorage off the west shore of the Vilaine estuary, just north of the Pointe de Penlan, near Saint-Gildas-des-Bois side of the river mouth.

Approach and anchoring
Approach from the estuary channel. Holding is mixed rock and mud so set the anchor with care and check the hook. Shelter from SW, S and SE, exposed to N and NW winds. Strong tidal streams run in the estuary, especially on the ebb.
Practical
No services at the anchorage. Port de Saint-Gildas lies 0.9 nautical miles east for water and a pontoon. Port de l'Argol is 5.3 nautical miles to the SE, upstream on the Vilaine.
