Approach and anchoring
Approach from the Gulf entrance north of Port Navalo point. Bottom of weed, holding variable, buoys preferred. Shelter from W winds only, exposed to E, SE, S and SW. Around 99 buoys. VHF 9.
Practical
Port Navalo is 0.5 NM S for fuel, water and capitainerie. Port du Crouesty lies 1.1 NM SE with full marina services. Strong tidal streams in the Gulf entrance, up to 8 knots at springs on the nearby Grand Mouton.
Ashore
Walk to Port Navalo village in 15 minutes for bakery, grocery and restaurants on the quay. The Port Navalo lighthouse and the GR34 coastal path start at the point, with views across the Gulf to Locmariaquer.
