Approach and anchoring
Approach from the east through the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio, clear of the rocks off Punta di a Chiappa to the south. The bay is open to the east and south-east, so swell rolls in with onshore breeze. Sheltered from NW, N and W winds.
Practical
Mooring forain on sand, good holding. No shore facilities at the anchorage itself. Porto-Vecchio marina 2.8 NM NW for fuel, water and provisions.
Ashore
Short dinghy landing on the beach. The village of Saint-Cyprien and its lagoon lie 2 NM to the south, with a long sand beach and a few beach restaurants open in season.
