Approach and anchoring
Approach from the east, staying well off the Îles Cerbicale to the south-east, which are a classified nature reserve. Rocky heads are marked along the shore, anchor on sand patches visible in clear water. Open to E and SE swell.
Practical
Mooring forain on sand, with rock patches to avoid for chain wear. No services ashore at the beach. Porto-Vecchio marina 2,7 NM NW for fuel, water, chandlery and provisions.
Ashore
Palombaggia beach stretches 3 km along the anchorage, with several beach restaurants from May to September. The Îles Cerbicale reserve, 2 NM SE, restricts landing on most islets but diving is allowed outside the no-take zone.
