Approach and anchoring
Approach from the marked channel of the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio. Seabed of sand with patches of Posidonia algae; look for clear sand patches before dropping, both for holding and to avoid damaging the protected seagrass meadow. Shelter from NE, E and SE; exposed to W and SW gusts falling off the hills.
Practical
No services at the anchorage. Water, fuel, berths and provisioning 4.1 NM NW at Porto-Vecchio marina and the Marine Group area.
Ashore
Gulf of Porto-Vecchio is classified as a Natura 2000 site for its Posidonia meadows. Tender landings give access to the coastal path around Punta di Benedettu and the beaches of the southern gulf.
