Guide
Approach and anchoring
Open to swell from S to W but well sheltered from N and NW, so avoid it in a westerly swell. Approach by day to read the bottom: a large sand patch lies in the middle in about 5 metres, with rock close around and room for only two or three boats, so drop on clear sand and check the set. Holding is good on the sand. The coast is low and rocky with few transit marks.
Practical
No facilities at the anchorage. Tizzano 0.4 NM SE offers a small fishing harbour with limited visitor space. Port de Propriano 8.3 NM N for full marina services, fuel and provisions.
Ashore
A small beach restaurant on the shore serves meals by the water. The Sentier des Douaniers runs along the coast south from Tizzano past the Cala di l'Avena beach. The area lies within the Natura 2000 site Plateau de Pertusato-Bonifacio et îles Lavezzi zone of influence along the granite southern coast.
