Approach and anchoring

Large mooring buoys for superyachts, bounded by yellow markers, fill much of the bay. Anchor between them and the swimming buoys, in 5 to 6 m on sand. Rock patches lie among the sand. Holding is good, and an anchor held in 35 kn from the NW in June 2024. Mooring staff move boats out of the buoy field and often point to a spot. Westerly wind can blow in over the land. Tender and motorboat traffic is heavy by day in summer.

Practical

Beach restaurants fetch crews from anchored boats by tender, and payment was in cash in 2024. Marked channels lead dinghies to the beach establishments. Leaving a dinghy on a buoy off the beach was charged in 2019. Mooring buoys could be booked through Fox Mooring in 2019. The hotel at the north end of the bay is a long dinghy ride away.
