Approach and anchoring
Anchor in 5 m on sand patches among posidonia, north of the Porto Portisco breakwater. Holding is good in sand. In 2025 an anchor was slow to set in 10 m of mud. Anchors can drag in mud in strong winds. A 30 kn westerly in 2025 and a NW 25 kn gusting 35 kn in 2022 raised no sea. Motorboats and tenders send wash by day. Tenders eased off by evening in July 2025. A mooring buoy lay just below the surface in 2024.
Practical
In 2024 there was no dinghy landing or pontoon on the east side of the jetty. That year a dinghy was rowed across the bathing buoys to a small beach 5 min walk from the village. Marina Portisco, a short dinghy ride away, has bars, restaurants and a supermarket on the quay. Shopping there was limited at the end of September 2022. In 2023 a small snack bar stood on the beach.
