Approach and anchoring
Approach from the north-west, entrance facing the bay of Villefranche. Channel marked by red and green lights at the mole heads. Maximum draught 3.8 metres. Exposed to westerly winds in the outer basin. Berthing assistance on arrival, though there is little room between the pontoons so be ready to back and fill into the slip. VHF 9.
Practical
550 berths on five pontoons. Water, electricity and diesel at the fuel berth, and if the fuel berth is closed boats can fuel at Beaulieu. Pontoon power is 32 A, so carry a 16 A adapter or borrow one from the port agents when available. Capitainerie open all year. Showers and free laundry in the harbour building. A Casino grocery near the tourist office carries the essentials but little fresh produce, with a small fruit and vegetable stall nearby, plus bakery and restaurants in the village square 150 m from the port.
Ashore
Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild and its nine gardens 1.2 km north of the port, built in 1912. Sentier du littoral coastal footpath circles the peninsula for 11 km, starting from the harbour. Paloma beach 1.5 km east of the village, sand and shingle.
