Approach and anchoring

Approach from the east, clear water close to the cliff. Sand and weed bottom, with the sand in small scattered patches, so few boats fit and a seabed app helps to find them; anchor on the sand in 3 to 6 m for good holding and keep clear of the posidonia. Shelter from NW through N and NE, also from W thanks to the headland, open to SE and S. By day it rolls in the wake of the boats passing offshore, emptying and settling in the evening. Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat harbour lies 0.4 NM north, a straightforward bolt-hole if the wind shifts.

Practical

No services in the cove. Port de Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat at 0.4 NM N for berths, water, fuel. Port des Fourmis at Beaulieu 1.2 NM N as a second option.

Ashore

A small pier and a beach serve as dinghy landings. The chemin des contrebandiers coast path leads to the next cove, where there is a bar back in the pines. A shop stands by the shore, and the village of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat with its shops and restaurants is a short dinghy hop to the harbour.
