Guide
Approach and anchoring
Anchor off the tower in a large sand patch in 4 to 9 m. Sheltered from NW, N, NE and W, but the SW swell builds quickly with the libeccio and finds little shelter even with a Mistral out at sea. The anchorage rolls badly, with criss-cross waves that unsettle boats even without wind, and tourist RIBs pass close at speed several times a day. Many private buoys crowd the bay so space is tight. Port de Sagone lies 0.2 NM NW, Cargèse 4.4 NM W.
Practical
Moor on own anchor; a small pontoon at the shore serves for landing the tender. Shops, fuel and a drinkable water tap on the quay at Port de Sagone 0.2 NM NW. A well-stocked Spar stands at the far end of the beach with a self-service launderette outside, and a Mr Bricolage hardware store up a lane opposite. Village pizzeria about 3 km away.
