Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south, rock and sand patches, holding is variable on rock, verify the set before leaving the boat. Anchor in about 4 metres off the small beach and buoy the anchor; a westerly swell wraps the point, so many crews lie to a stern anchor or a shore line to hold into it. Avoid the shoals off the west of the cove and the rocky NE corner, where anchor and chain can jam. Shelter from NW through N to W, exposed to the S and SW that bring the summer sea breeze and libeccio. Clear the point by at least 200 m, outlying rocks extend underwater.
Practical
No services. Port de Sagone 1.1 NM NE provides the nearest shelter with visitor berths and fuel. Cargèse 3.4 NM NW is the alternative.
