Approach and anchoring

VHF 9 often goes unanswered, so call by phone near the entrance. Staff meet boats on the quay and take lines. Berths are stern-to on high concrete quays built for fishing boats, with no gangway, so stepping ashore is awkward. Watch the depths at the entrance. Swell can run in under the breakwater and snatch the lines. With a SW force 8 forecast in May 2026, the office advised staying in Savona.

Practical

Water and power were included in the fee in 2026. Two showers ran on a coded badge timer in 2025. Waste bins stand by the jetty, and there was no fuel in the port in 2025. Paid parking lies next to the berths. Restaurants stand inside the marina. Shops are about 15 minutes' walk away, and trains run from the town station to Genoa.

Ashore

A beach lies next to the marina. The old town lies along the promenade, with cafes and gelaterias. The town has restaurants, the town hall and its park, and an old castle. The Sant'Anna golf course is 10 minutes away by taxi.
