Guide

Approach and anchoring

Call VHF 73. Marina boatmen take lines and can guide boats to the berth by dinghy. Surge can run through the basin even with no wind, and springs are advised. A south-westerly sends swell in, with boats surging about 1 m fore and aft in May 2026. The quays are built for large yachts and stand high. A berth level with the deck was found on request in 2024.

Practical

500 berths accepting deep-draught yachts up to 15 metres, beside Genoa airport. Fuel berth on site. Bars, restaurants, a chandlery and a gym in the marina, with shipyards alongside. There was no grocery shop within 2 km in 2024. Water and power were billed as a flat rate on top of the berth in January 2026. The men's showers had no hot water in August 2025. Aircraft used the runway from 6 am to 11 pm in 2024.

Ashore

The railway station is about 20 minutes on foot, then 20 to 25 minutes by train to central Genoa. A bus stops at the mooring areas, and buses run to the city centre and the airport. The centre of Sestri Ponente, a few kilometres away, has shops of every kind and a Marian church.
