Approach and anchoring
Approach from the east, open coast with no offshore dangers. Sand bottom on a gentle progressive slope with sandbars, so hold about 100 m off the beach. Good holding, but the flat hinterland gives no shelter from the wind. Exposed to the north-west tramontane and to west and north winds; an easterly or south-east wind sets up a roll through the night. Cabanes de Fleury harbour lies 0.7 NM to the north at the river mouth, Port Chichoulet 0.8 NM to the north.

Mouillage forain without services. Fuel, water and shops at Cabanes de Fleury inside the Aude river mouth. Mooring area inside the Parc naturel régional de la Narbonnaise en Méditerranée.
Ashore
Plage des Cabanes de Fleury runs north from the anchorage. Aude river mouth and bird reserve of the Basse Plaine de l'Aude at 1 km, classed Natura 2000. Village of Saint-Pierre-la-Mer at 3 km north.
