Approach and anchoring

Approach from the south between the Bruzzi islets and the mainland on the marked channel winding through granite reefs. Maximum draught 10 m inside the basin but the approach shallows quickly outside the buoys. VHF channel 9. Not to be attempted at night or in strong southerly winds that break on the outer rocks. Once inside the berths are well sheltered, though gusts funnel through in a westerly and call for springs on the warps; staff come out by tender to take the lines.

Practical

230 berths on pontoons, water and electricity at the berths, no fuel berth. Clean showers and toilets and good wifi. Expect around 68 to 80 euros a night in high season, high for a remote spot, with a 25 euro fee just to land crew or take on water. The village shops lie about 3 km off, but the supermarket and restaurants run a free courtesy shuttle that collects crews at the dock and brings them back with their shopping. A free public quay allows provisioning when the office is shut at weekends.

Ashore

The restaurant Le Patio stands about 200 m from the marina, with Mika's pizzeria 1.3 km inland and a village ice-cream shop; the restaurants collect crews by shuttle. Bruzzi nature site 2 km west, granite coastline classified by the Conservatoire du Littoral. Plage de Chevanu sandy beach 2.5 km by road. Inland village of Pianottoli-Caldarello with its 12th century romanesque chapel of San Giovanni at 1.5 km.
