Approach and anchoring
Drop the hook on sand seaward of the bathing zone; the water shoals close in, so most boats anchor well out, where the wind and sea have more fetch. Holding on sand is good and has held through a NW blow of 30 knots. The roadstead is exposed to swell from the E round to the S and to the tramontane when it veers offshore.
Practical
Port Leucate lies 0.4 NM west and takes visitors year-round. Port Nautica sits 3.6 NM south as a back-up refuge.
