Approach and anchoring

Sheltered from the NW, exposed to the other sectors. Strong tidal streams run through the Chenal de la Chambre, so approach at slack or on a fair tide, with rocks drying on either side. Anchoring is prohibited: pick up one of the green visitor buoys in 3 to 5 metres, avoiding any topped with a white bucket, which are not for visitors. They are few and lie close together, so it is first come first served, and in wind against tide boats swing differently and touching is common above about 20 knots. The buoys are not advised for boats over 9 to 10 metres.

Practical

The buoys are managed by the town hall on 02 96 20 00 36 and charged in July and August, about 20 to 23.50 euros a night, which includes toilets at the top of the slip and a ticket for the campsite showers. Port-Clos on Bréhat 0.8 NM north for water and village shops, or Port Adhoc at the Arcouest landing 3.6 NM SW for a boatyard and road access to Paimpol.

Ashore

Dinghy ashore to Bréhat and walk to the Phare du Paon 2 km north, or take the coast path south to the Chapelle Saint-Michel. The island of Logodec itself is private and uninhabited.
