Approach and anchoring
Reached from the Chenal de la Moisie or from the north after rounding the Paon lighthouse. Strong tidal streams on springs. Sand and weed holding, so back the anchor well. Open to the W, shelter from E, S and SE. Brehat harbour of Port Clos lies 0.8 nm east; Port Adhoc at Lezardrieux is 4 nm south.
Practical
Forain anchorage only. Nearest water, fuel and provisioning at Port Clos, served by the Pointe de l'Arcouest ferry. Lezardrieux marina inside the Trieux estuary for full services.
Ashore
Ile de Brehat is a car-free archipelago within a Natura 2000 site. The Paon lighthouse sits at the north tip of the island, reached on foot in about 45 minutes from Port Clos. The pink-granite chaos of the Rosedo area and the Saint-Michel chapel with its panoramic view are within walking distance.
