Les Saintes and Marie-Galante anchorages

14 places · Guadeloupe

In the bay of Terre-de-Haut anchoring is banned: pick up a buoy in the mooring zone, off the village, under the Pain de Sucre or near Îlet à Cabrit, and land at the village pontoons. Clearance is done at Les Saintes Multiservices on rue Jean Calot. Terre-de-Bas sees fewer boats and has Anse Fideling and Anse à Dos. Marie-Galante lies 16 miles east: the wide bay of Saint-Louis with clearance at Chez Zélès, Anse Canot to the north, then Anse La Frais and Grand-Bourg to the south, where customs see visitors by appointment. From Saint-Louis it is 20 miles back to Pointe-à-Pitre.
