Grande-Terre, Petite-Terre and La Désirade: Pointe-à-Pitre to Saint-François

13 lieux · Guadeloupe

The Bas-du-Fort marina in Pointe-à-Pitre has over 1,000 berths and clears boats in at its office. At Le Gosier, a field of about sixty buoys has been under construction since January 2026 between La Datcha, Anse Tabarin and the islet: once it opens, anchoring there is banned. The south coast of Grande-Terre carries on past Petit Havre, Sainte-Anne and Saint-François, whose 210-berth marina takes boats under 17 metres and is also a clearance point. From there Petite-Terre is 10 miles off, a nature reserve since 1998 where boats lie on buoys only. La Désirade, 12 miles away, has a small harbour off the village.
