Guide
Approach and anchoring
A working anchorage in the Brooksville area at the western end of Eggemoggin Reach, one of the most sheltered passages on the Maine coast. The mud bottom holds well. Shelter is from the south-west through south-east; pick the lie according to the forecast.
Practical
Buck's Harbor Marina lies 4.3 nm N with moorings, dockage, fuel and a chandlery. Buck's Harbor Yacht Club, also to the north, keeps a few guest moorings on a first-come basis that cannot be reserved.
