Yacht club marina of 91 berths on the west side of Ventura Harbor, between the harbour village and the Channel Islands National Park headquarters.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached through the Ventura Harbor entrance, between two jetties protected by a 1,800 ft detached breakwater. Jetty lights mark the seaward ends. Harbor Patrol monitors VHF channel 16. Speed limit 5 mph inside the harbour. A 240 ft guest dock takes visiting members with reciprocity.
Practical
91 wet berths plus dry storage racks for trailerable boats up to 30 ft. Two-ton hoist, electricity and water on the pontoons, showers, heads, laundry, ice and a member restaurant. Berths from 30 to 50 ft.
Ashore
Ventura Harbor Village shops and restaurants within 400 m. Channel Islands National Park visitor centre next door, with ferry departures to Anacapa and Santa Cruz islands. Ventura Pier and San Buenaventura State Beach about 2 miles north.
History
Founded in 1938, the oldest yacht club in Ventura County.
