Approach and anchoring
Inside Ventura Harbor, entered between two jetties with a 1,800 ft detached breakwater. Harbor Patrol on VHF 16. Speed limit 5 mph inside the basin.
Practical
No transient berths. Membership only, with online booking, on-water training and a NASBLA boating safety course before first use. Overnight trips allowed to Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara and Catalina.
Ashore
Ventura Harbor Village shops and dining within 300 m. Channel Islands National Park visitor centre 400 m south. Launch ramp and chandleries in the harbour.
