Approach and anchoring

Enter Ventura Harbor between two jetties protected by a 1,800 ft detached breakwater. Jetty lights mark the seaward ends. Harbor Patrol on VHF 16. Speed limit 5 mph. Private buoys in the entrance channel are uncharted and shift with the shoals, so call the harbour master before entering.

Practical

580 berths from 25 to 95 ft on concrete pontoons. Fuel berth with diesel and petrol, pump-out, water and metered electricity on every berth, dock boxes, WiFi, cable TV, laundry, showers, heads, security and parking. Reciprocal berths across the Safe Harbor network.

Ashore

Ventura Harbor Village shops, fish markets and restaurants within walking distance. Launch ramp and chandleries adjacent. Channel Islands National Park visitor centre 800 m across the harbour. San Buenaventura State Beach 2 miles north.
