Approach and anchoring
Lies in the Mare Island Strait close to the Mare Island Causeway. Reached from San Pablo Bay up the dredged strait, with the marina entrance at the top of the downtown waterfront. Solano County tides and channel currents apply.
Practical
About 670 berths, 65 of them covered, taking boats from 12 to 105 feet. Fuel sales, haul-out and boat repair, ice, laundry, restrooms, showers and shore power on the pontoons. A restaurant sits on the waterfront and transient berths are available. Glen Cove Marina lies about 3.6 miles to the south-east.
Ashore
The Vallejo downtown waterfront and ferry terminal are alongside the marina. The Vallejo to San Francisco ferry runs from here, giving a direct link across the bay without a boat.
