Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached along the Carquinez Strait. The harbour master's office sits directly above the fuel and pump-out berth, with the standard guest ties at the end of the fuel berth, on the left as you enter. The fuel pump closes at 16:30.
Practical
Around 320 berths taking boats from 25 to 75 feet. Petrol and diesel on the fuel berth, plus haul-out and boat repair, washdown areas, ice, laundry, a snack bar, restrooms, showers and shore power. Transient berths are available. Martinez Marina and the Martinez Yacht Club lie about 1.4 miles to the south-east.
Ashore
Benicia's First Street runs up from the waterfront to shops and restaurants. The town served as the state capital of California in 1853 and 1854, and the old Capitol building still stands a short walk from the marina.
