Guide
Approach and anchoring
Shallow tidal creek off San Pablo Bay, suitable for kayaks, canoes and small craft only. The site dries at low water and is unsuitable for keelboats. Access from the bay via the marked Gallinas Creek channel, with mudflats on both sides at low water.
Practical
Free public car park, picnic tables and toilets. No berths, no fuel, no chandlery. Leashed dogs allowed. Phone +1 415 472 1502.
Ashore
China Camp State Park trailheads at 1.5 km east, with shoreline paths around Point San Pedro. Marin County Civic Center, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, lies 3 km south-west.
