Approach and anchoring
Approached from the Intracoastal Waterway on Gasparilla Sound, opposite Placida, between markers 30 and 35. The marina channel runs close to the causeway for about 1.5 miles to the basin.
Practical
Berths take vessels up to 80 ft. Fuelling dock with petrol and diesel, ice, a launch ramp, waste pump-out, and water and shore power at each berth. Laundry, showers, a covered patio and wifi. A motel and restaurant share the site.
History
Uncle Henry's Marina was founded in 1980 in a cove at the north end of Gasparilla Island. The adjoining resort and shopping mall were built in 1988 by Sunset Realty.
