Approach and anchoring

Reached from the Chesapeake Bay by following the Elk River towards Elkton, between Philadelphia and Baltimore. The Chesapeake and Delaware Canal, the route to Delaware Bay, lies a short run downriver.

Practical

There are 128 berths, ten kept for visiting boats, with water and shore power, plus a fuel berth and a dry-stack boatel. The yard runs a travel lift for haul-out, storage and repairs. A ship store, pump-out, showers and WiFi are on site. Schaefer's Canal House restaurant is by the water with views over the river.
