Transit marina on the north bank of the C&D Canal at Chesapeake City, Maryland, on the Intracoastal Waterway between Delaware Bay and Chesapeake Bay.

Approach and anchoring
On the C&D Canal at mile 13, just east of the Chesapeake City Bridge. Approach depth around 25 ft, dockside depth 18 ft. Tidal range about 3.5 ft. Current in the canal can run hard, plan arrival near slack water.
Practical
Roughly 1,700 ft of fixed dock and 700 ft of floating dock. Shore power 30 and 50 amp on fixed docks only. Fuel berth. Onsite restaurant and Lighthouse Bar overlooking the canal.
Ashore
Free Town Dock at 0.3 nautical miles south-east, in the historic district of Chesapeake City. Taylor's Marina at 2.4 nautical miles north-west. Chesapeake City Ferry shuttles between the two sides of the canal from April to October.
History
The Chesapeake and Delaware Canal opened in 1829, linking the two bays for commercial shipping. It was deepened and rebuilt sea-level by the US Army Corps of Engineers in the 20th century.
