Approach and anchoring
Enter the Vilaine by the marked channel, leaving the Pointe du Scal cardinal to port. Strong ebb stream on the outgoing tide. The buoy lies off the former oyster port of Tréhiguier on the right bank.
Practical
One buoy only, mud holding. Water tap ashore on the quay. Port Vilaine Maritime 0.8 NM E for full marina services. Arzal-Camoël lock 2.3 NM E upstream gives access to non-tidal river.
Ashore
Musée de Pénestin in the former phare de Tréhiguier on the quay, open April to October, with displays on oyster farming and estuary fishing. Plage de la Mine 1.5 km by foot. Oyster tasting at several producers along the D34 road.
