Private club and marina on a 66-acre site at the south end of Harsens Island, at the mouth of the St. Clair River delta on Lake St. Clair.

Approach and anchoring
Approach from Lake St. Clair through the marked channels of the St. Clair Flats. Stay clear of the extensive delta shoals on either side of the channel. The club lies about 2 miles south-west of Idle Hour Yacht Club, accessible by water and, since 1940, by a road bridge from Harsens Island.
Practical
Members-only club with dining, boathouses, a 24-room hotel called The Ritz built in 1917, and 55 private residences. Address 9900 South Channel Drive, Harsens Island.
History
Founded in 1872 in E. B. Smith's bookstore in Detroit as the Lake St. Clair Fishing and Shooting Club, renamed The Old Club in 1902. The Victorian clubhouse of 1887 burnt down and was rebuilt in 1926. From 1890 the steamer Tashmoo, carrying up to 4,000 passengers, ran here from Detroit.
Story
Past members include Henry and Edsel Ford, the Dodge Brothers, the Fisher family, Kirk Gibson and Steve Yzerman.
