Approach and anchoring
Approach from the North Channel of the St Clair River delta, at the intersection with the Chenal A Bout Rond. Strong river current on the channel side, ease back to docking speed in good time. Reciprocal moorage for visiting clubs.
Practical
More than 80 deep-water berths with water and full shore power, including space for vessels of 15 to 30 metres. Clubhouse with dining room, bar, showers and second-floor sleeping rooms for members.
Ashore
The St Clair Flats delta surrounds the club with miles of canals and channels suited to tender and kayak exploration. Algonac State Park is reachable by boat in 15 minutes for hiking and birdwatching over the largest freshwater delta in the Great Lakes.
History
The four-acre island sits in the St Clair Flats, the largest freshwater delta in the world. The clubhouse cupola on the fourth level serves as a navigational aid for boats on the channel.
