Approach and anchoring

Reached via the South Channel of the St. Clair River, a marked route running east along the southern side of Harsens Island toward Southeast Bend. Watch for shifting shoals throughout the delta and stay inside the marked channel. The river current runs at 3 to 6 knots. Approach depth around 6 ft alongside.

Practical

Around 100 berths with 20 visitor places, vessels up to 45 ft, 6 ft alongside. Water, 30 amp shore power, pumpout, heads and showers, ice. Picnic area and dog walk. The site now trades as The Flats Resorts and is being refurbished.

Ashore

Harsens Island is reached by the Champion's Auto Ferry from Algonac, on the mainland 1.5 miles south. South Channel Drive runs along the shore past Sans Souci village, with a handful of bars and restaurants within 2 miles.
